This is the most important event in the federation calendar. The Olympiad Selection tournament also acts as the HKSAR Championship and the winner is the national champion for Hong Kong SAR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top 3 positions are guaranteed a place in the HKG team to the Budapest Chess Olympiad from 10th to the 23rd of September 2024. (Please note that only permanent residents may enjoy this guarantee)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time control: Standard 60 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Default\/No Show:<\/strong>  All those who do not turn up for their games will NOT<\/strong> be paired for the next round UNLESS they tell the pairing officer that they will play the next round. 2 defaults is withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
