HKSAR Championship 2025
This is the HKSAR Championship which will decide the Hong Kong Champion for the year 2025. This event is FIDE rated for Standard which means only those with HKG FIDE ID can play. Time control: 75 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move. Participants should present themselves before 6:45pm on Monday 13th January, else will not be paired for round 1.

Entry Fee:
FREE – members of the Hong Kong China Chess Federation Limited. Priority shall be given to members of HKCCFL, non-members may be placed on a waiting list as there is a limit of 50 players allowed due to government regulations.
HKD1,200 – non-members with payment before start of event.
Prizes: Trophy for Champion and medals for 2nd to 5th.

Recording of the game: Our federation is using electronic tablets to record the games using FIDE approved Clono software. This is mandatory and refusal to use electronic recording may result in a default loss and withdrawal from all federation Standard events. The Chief Arbiter will announce the usage of Clono before the start of a round.
DEFAULTS: New federation policy is to remove players who have defaulted. Only with a signed declaration to continue, approved by the Chief Arbiter will be accepted for the player be paired for the next round.
