Hong Kong China Chess Federation is the only official member of the FIDE (International Chess Federation) in Hong Kong.
The events organized by the Hong Kong China Chess Federation are open to any member of the general public in Hong Kong. Members can play social and competition chess in Hong Kong, but also, through the membership of the Hong Kong China Chess Federation, which is a member of FIDE (the governing body of world chess), members can have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong in international competitions.
Any interested chess player is welcome to attend for a few evenings to play social chess, before deciding whether to join as a member. The annual membership fee is on the application section in the website,
Full membership will enjoy free entry to all local competitions organised by the Hong Kong China Chess Federation at Smithfield Sports Stadium in Kennedy Town.
The Club usually meets (but not every week) from 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on Mondays in the Committee Rooms on the 7th Floor at our venue. For details and the exact dates of current and future events visit our tournament calendar or contact Tournament Director
