GM Arkadij Naiditsch 3rd Online Training Camp

HKCFL is pleased that GM Arkadij Naiditsch has agreed to conduct a 3rd training camp for the members of our federation. This seminar is mainly for the aspiring players who wish to raise their level of play considerably.

Here are some encouraging words from the Grandmaster.

Chess is a very complex game where improvement comes over time and step by step. Like in every other sport, the basics are extremely important. Without a solid foundation there is no way of building a long lasting house. 

Common questions asked are : 

There are no miracles in chess. The ratio of “talent to hard work” is maybe 5%-95%. 

Chess is an intellectual game where we must stay objective and be self-critical to make our improvement fast and dynamic.

1) The role of opening theory to reach 2000 ELO 
2) Play in the center 
3) How to self study endgames 
4) How many tournaments do I need to play per year /which tournaments to choose
5) How to improve my tactical skills 
6) How to use the computer as an assisting tool 
7) Basic middle-game strategies 
8) Allocation of time spent during a game 
9) Most efficient style of play to reach 2000 ELO
