The top 5 players will be selected to represent Hong Kong SAR at this major international sporting event, using tiebreaks if necessary. However, if you’re unable to attend the games in Hangzhou, please inform the organizers immediately after the tournament to give other players a chance to step up and represent Hong Kong.
By finishing among the top positions in this tournament, you will earn a chance to represent Hong Kong at the upcoming Asian Indoor Games in Bangkok, from 17th to 26th November, 2023. This is a golden opportunity to showcase your chess skills on an international platform and return home with pride and honour for the HKSAR. Moreover, we’re also on the lookout for talented players to represent Hong Kong in the ASEAN Chess variant. If you’re passionate about the game and eager to explore different chess formats, we encourage you to apply. Selected players will receive sponsorship to participate in this exciting variant of chess.
But that’s not all – successful finishers of this tournament will also have the chance to participate in the China Mind Sports 2023, representing Hong Kong.
