Eastern District Chess Championship 2021 (unrated)

To promote the art and culture of chess in the Eastern District through the “Eastern District Sports Festival 2021” this event is organised by the Eastern District Council and co-organised by our federation.

This event is to encourage newcomers to chess. All those known to us as rated in Rapid & Blitz will be rejected. Priority is given to residents /students/workers of the Eastern District. This is a fun first event for most beginners and inexperienced chess players. Winners will be disqualified if they are proven to have a chess rating.

Competition date: January 16, 2022 (Sunday)

Competition time: 09:45-12:45

Competition venue: Aldrich Bay Community Hall

Competition groups: Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Secondary, Adults >18

Generous cash vouchers are offered to the prize winners and all are welcome. All participants shall receive souvenirs. All cash vouchers are in HKD. ENTRY IS FREE TO ALL !!!

Time control: 5 minutes plus 3 seconds increment per move

Tournament format: Swiss system 7 rounds

宗　　旨： 藉著「東區康體節2021」，在東區推廣國際象棋的藝術及文化

比賽日期： 2022年1月16日（星期日）

比賽時間： 09:45 – 12:45

比賽地點： 愛秩序灣社區會堂

公眾組別：初小組、高小組、中學組、成人組（歡迎任何人士根據組別自由參與）

報名名額： 各組名額二十五人。如報名人數或隊數超過名額，則先取錄東區居住、就讀或就業的參賽者，剩餘的名額先到先得。

賽　　制： 積分編排制七輪，每方五分鐘，每步加三秒

報名費用： 全免，每位參賽者只能報名一個組別。每位參賽者可獲大會贈送精美禮品一份。

獎項如下：

冠　軍：禮券$400、獎座乙個

亞　軍：禮券$300、獎座乙個

季　軍：禮券$200、獎座乙個

殿　軍：禮券$100、獎座乙個 優異獎五至八名：禮券$100、獎牌乙個
